Steps to import your existing blogger comments into Disqus

1. Assuming that you have already logged in to your Disqus account.Click on Dashboard

2. Now select your blog on which you want your existing blogger comments

3. Now click on the Discussion tab

4. Now click on import tab and select the platform on which you want to import the comments

5. Now click on the "Import comments from blogger".

6. Now after clicking on the "Import comments from blogger".You will be directed to blogger.Now click on the "Grant access" button to allow Disqus to import your existing blogger comments to Disqus

7. Now you will be redirected back to Disqus. Now simply click on the "Import" button to import your existing comments on Disqus

8. Now a screen as shown below will come up.which means the request to import comments has been queued.The import may take upto 24 hours of time to complete.Disqus will also mail you after the import is completed.

Google owned Blogger has become an important tool for web publishing. Blogger is easy to learn, customize and is being  preferred as a  free alternative to professional blogger platforms like WordPress.  Blogger users don’t need to care about the hosting configuration, subscription charges and other associated problems. However, any blogger  user has only the option to customize the front end, they are not allowed to install server side web scripts and application to their blogspot or custom domain. This would  limit the Blogger users from installing forums, and other useful applications.

The user generated content in forums is free and is an asset. We can create an active community of returning visitors with a little effort and promotion of the forum. There is no option to install forum scripts like phpBB, VBulletin, etc. in Blogger. However, we can use JavaScript to embed and call external forum services in Blogger pages. Here we have two methods add a forum in Blogger blogspot blogs.

Add a simple forum in Blogger with Nabble:

Nabble forum for Blogger

Creating a Blogger forum with Nabble is very easy. Nabble is free and it provides a wide variety of options including custom domain name. Go to this link, enter the required forum name, description and click on create a forum. Now it will take you to the forum page, which is something like as shown above. Before everything, verify the ownership of the forum using the link shown at the top right side. After that click on embedding options, and copy the JavaScript code to a newly created Blogger page to complete the process. Now users can register and participate in your forum.

Custom domain: If you are a blogger custom domain user, you can create a a sub domain to include your Nabble forum. Just point the name servers of the domain to Nabble server and include it in the settings.

How to get your profile picture in google search results

How will Google Know that who is the Author of a Blog ?

This process involves kind of a two way verification. In your blog you should tell the Google Crawlers that  this guy with this Google Profile is the author of the entry.

Now Google has to verify that the Blogger has provided the correct Google Plus Profile.So it will see if that guy’s Google Plus profile links back to your Blog. If it does, then Google can confirm that he/she is the author and it may display his/her profile information in the Google Search Results.

Note: Even of you do all this, there is no guarantee that Google will display your Profile Details in search.

1. Single Author Blog.

Every page on your Blog should tell Google that this Google Plus guy is my Author. To do that, there should be a link to your Google Plus profile on every page on your Blog. This link should have the rel attribute set to author

You can do that by adding the following link code to some HTML/JavaScript Widget

<a rel="author" href="https://plus.google.com/114002446488639650051">My Profile</a>

The Link in red should be replaced by your Google Plus Profile URL. You can replace the thing in Green with anything you want.  When you add this as an HTML/JavaScript Widget, you are telling Google that every page on your Blog was written by the guy with the Google Plus Profile which you have mentioned in the link. It is not mandatory that you should add this link in a Gadget. You can add the link anywhere in your Template. The only thing is that it should be there on every page of your Blog.

2. Multi Author Blog.

The method is almost the same for a Multi Author blog as well. The only difference is that each post on the Multi Author Blog should link to the corresponding author.

If you are not good with Blogger Template Codes, then you can manually add the Google Plus profile link to each Post(so that each post will link to the corresponding author’s Google Plus Profile). If you are good with the template codes, then you can use the following code.

If you have more than 2 authors, you can just repeat the repeating block.(I have commented it so that you can properly identify the repeating one).

Now each of the Blog Author’s Google Plus Profile should link back to your Blog’s home page.

Don’t hurry through the process of picking a name; it’s your brand and you want to make sure you love it and it’s something you’re going to love for years to come.Take a week or two to consider potential names. Ask a few trusted friends to give their input. Toss around ideas, and when you land upon ones you like, check to see if the domain name (the www website address) is available on GoDaddy.com before jumping ahead and settling on any one name.

2. Purchase the Domain Name

As soon as you land on the blog name you love and have double-checked that no one is using it, buy the domain name immediately. It usually costs around $10 per year for this and it’s worth every penny to have your own domain name for your blog.I always purchase domain names from GoDaddy.com just because that’s what I’ve always done. However, if you are planning to set up your blog through Blogger (see point 3 below), it’s much, much easier if you purchase the domain name directly through Blogger rather than through a separate domain name service because the domain will be automatically set to point to your Blogger blog. You won’t have to go through the process to manually input the code yourself to point the domain to your blog. I also suggest, if you want to think long-term and hope to turn your blog into a successful business, that you purchase all variations of your domain name. That way,you don’t have to worry about someone else setting up a site with a domain name very similar to yours.

3. Chossing a the Correct Blog Platform 

If you have just started or about to start.I would recommend you to start with blogger.com or just stick to blogger.com until your blog is popular.

If you have a popular blog then I would recommend you to learn wordpress and shift your blog to wordpress.

4. Choose a correct theme or template Or Hire a Designer.

Choose a correct template or theme for your blog.

I would recommend BestBloggerTemplates.Net ,

Btemplates4U.com , Btemplates.com DeluxTemplates.Net and 
MasTemplate.com for choosing athe best free available templates.

Note:-Choose a template that matches your topic.

5. Plan Your Posts Ahead of Time.

Before you open your doors to the public, go ahead and post 10 to 15 posts, plus plan out and write another 15 to have in queue to post after you start advertising your blog.
